Nataliia Cherkas is a Senior Program Manager at the Sustainable World Academy and Program Director of the Master's program 'Leadership in Sustainable Finance' at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. She holds a PhD and habilitation in International Economics, and serves as an associate lecturer in the Department of Economics and Law at Frankfurt School. Her academic career includes research and teaching roles at institutions such as the Lviv University of Trade and Economics, University of Redlands (USA), Friedrich Schiller University Jena (Germany), and Kyiv National Economic University. She has also taught in international programs across Italy, Greece, France, Spain, and Turkey.
Research focuses on international trade, economic growth, global value chains, entrepreneurial ecosystems, and sustainability. She completed research stays at Henley Business School (2019-2020), Friedrich Schiller University Jena (2017-2019), and University of Redlands (2013-2015). Awards include the JW FULBRIGHT Award (2013) and recognition from the Lviv Regional Government (2012). She has authored the monograph Global Value Chains in Economic Growth (2018) and contributed to peer-reviewed journals.
