Margaret Hummel is a Research Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies in Cologne, Germany. She is affiliated with the IMPRS-SPCE Doctoral Program and the Political Economy of European Integration research group. Her work focuses on political economy, macroeconomics, and European integration, particularly analyzing German current account surpluses and value chains in the export sector since the introduction of the euro.
