Natalie Stoianoff is a Professor at the Faculty of Law, University of Technology Sydney, where she has directed the Intellectual Property Program since 2008. She serves as Chair of the Indigenous Knowledge Forum Committee and co-convenes the Technology and Intellectual Property Research Cluster. Her work bridges Intellectual Property Law, Environmental Law, and Indigenous Knowledge Protection, with a focus on legal frameworks for biodiversity conservation and cultural heritage.

Her research spans biotechnology patents, climate change law, and tax policy for sustainability. She led the ARC Linkage Grant (2016-19) Garuwanga Project to establish an independent Indigenous Competent Authority for knowledge governance. She also secured a Bulgarian National Science Fund grant (2020-22) for information literacy research.
