Dr. Natalie P. Byfield is a Professor in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at St. John's University, Queens. She holds a Ph.D. from Fordham University and specializes in sociolinguistics, media studies, and the intersection of race, gender, and class. Her research examines how language and media shape societal power structures. Previously, she worked as a journalist for major publications like the New York Daily News and Time Magazine, contributing over 10 years of professional experience.
