She is the co-creator of the Stella Diversity Count and the Chief Investigator of the First Nations and People of Colour Writers Count—the first comprehensive study examining cultural diversity in the Australian publishing industry. Her scholarly work has been published nationally and internationally, with a particular emphasis on gender bias in publishing, Australian literature, and creative writing.
Her research outputs reveal a strong focus on literary criticism, women's studies, and cultural diversity metrics. Analysis of her recent publications shows consistent engagement with themes of representation, gender dynamics in literature, and the Australian publishing landscape. She has pioneered methodologies for measuring diversity in literary awards and publishing, contributing significantly to conversations about equity in the arts.
