Dr. Natalie Grinnell is the Reeves Family Professor in Humanities at Wofford College, specializing in medieval literature and literary studies. She teaches courses on British Medieval Literature, Arthurian Legends, Medieval Monsters, and Dystopian Fiction within the English Department.
Her research examines representations of monstrosity in medieval texts with emphasis on gender, race, and identity. Current courses explore definitions of humanity through literary depictions of artificial life and 'the Other' in historical contexts.
Professor Grinnell maintains strict academic policies regarding accessibility accommodations, language inclusivity, and assignment submission through digital platforms. She requires physical textbooks for course engagement and emphasizes close reading skills in literary analysis.
