Brantley Bryant is a Professor of English at Sonoma State University, specializing in Early British and medieval literature. He teaches courses ranging from literary analysis to specialized seminars on Chaucer, Arthurian legends, and medieval representations of humanity.
Research Interests: Chaucer's social critiques, monstrosity in medieval texts, intersections of literature and history, and posthuman theoretical frameworks. His work explores how medieval narratives reflect societal structures and human identity.
Publications: Authored Geoffrey Chaucer Hath a Blog: Medieval Studies and New Media (2010) and articles on tax policy in medieval poetry, allegory, and cognitive approaches to literature. He co-founded the Open Access Companion to the Canterbury Tales project.
