Natalie Dohrmann is an Adjunct Associate Professor of Religious Studies at the University of Pennsylvania's College of Arts & Sciences. She serves as Associate Director of the Herbert D. Katz Center for Advanced Judaic Studies and Coeditor of the Jewish Quarterly Review, focusing on intersections between rabbinic Judaism, Roman imperial history, and legal studies.

Her research engages with early rabbinic law, Jewish cultural responses to Roman sovereignty, and biblical interpretation in Late Antiquity. She has coedited volumes such as Legal Engagement: The Reception of Roman Tribunals and Law by Jews and Other Provincials of the Roman Empire (Rome 2021) and Jews, Christians, and the Roman Empire: The Poetics of Power in Late Antiquity (Penn 2013).
Dr. Dohrmann teaches courses including Jewish Civilization I, Introduction to Judaism, and interdisciplinary seminars on power dynamics in ancient Greek, Roman, and Jewish monarchies. Her upcoming work examines Roman imperialism through the lenses of provincial sovereigntism and Midrashic literature, though these articles are not yet dated. She is affiliated with the Katz Center at 420 Walnut Street, contributing to academia through editorial and leadership roles in Judaic studies.
