Natalie Cote is a Ph.D. candidate in Political Science at Wayne State University and serves as an adjunct instructor at two community colleges. Her research focuses on unintended consequences of public policy, administrative ethics, and social justice, particularly the intersection of economic inequality with systemic oppression. She holds a BA (2014) and MPA (2020) from Wayne State University.
Her dissertation examines the 'cliff effect' in public assistance programs, analyzing how abrupt benefit reductions hinder transitions to financial independence. This work aims to inform poverty alleviation and social equity policies. Natalie has received prestigious awards including the King-Chavez-Parks Future Faculty Fellowship and the Leda McIntyre Hall Fellowship.
Her expertise spans public administration, policy analysis, and ethics in governance. Natalie advocates for equitable policy design through interdisciplinary research and community engagement.
