Natalie Brescia

Natalie Brescia is currently a Post Graduate Teaching Fellow at Massachusetts College of Art and Design, where she contributes to academic instruction while maintaining an active artistic practice.

Her educational background includes:

• Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art from the University of California, Santa Cruz
• Master of Fine Arts from Massachusetts College of Art and Design

Brescia's interdisciplinary research operates at the intersection of photography, bookmaking, and installation art, with a primary focus on the mythos of the Western landscape. She investigates land as a vessel for personal and collective history, gesture, vulnerability, and associated memory, creating work that bridges conceptual and material exploration in contemporary visual arts. Her practice demonstrates deep engagement with how physical spaces encode cultural narratives and emotional experiences.

Her artistic work has been exhibited nationally and internationally at venues including Benrubi Gallery in New York and the Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History, reflecting significant recognition in the contemporary art world.
