Natalia Ilyin

Natalia Ilyin is Professor of Design, Design History, and Criticism at Cornish College of the Arts and Founding Core Faculty for the MFA in Graphic Design at Vermont College of Fine Arts. She teaches critical and contextual design issues, complex systems, social activism design, brand semiotics, and transition design. She has received the Cornish Award for Teaching Excellence twice for pedagogical excellence.

• BA in British Literature, Dominican University

Research Focus: Her interdisciplinary work bridges design theory with social impact, examining modernist design principles and developing visual approaches to design education. She actively publishes critical analyses of design's societal role.
