Natali Johnsson

Natali Johnsson is an Adjunct Lecturer and doctoral student in Nursing Science at the Department of Health and Caring Sciences, Faculty of Health and Life Sciences, Linnaeus University. Her research focuses on enhancing healthcare system resilience through patient activation and self-care support in chronic wound management.

Johnsson's research examines self-care monitoring and planning for venous leg ulcers in primary healthcare, with emphasis on healthcare staff perspectives. Her work integrates home healthcare, elderly care, geriatrics, palliative care, and e-health to develop co-created solutions for preventing ulcer recurrence. She investigates how structured self-care processes can empower patients while reducing healthcare burdens.

Analysis of her publication trajectory reveals consistent methodological focus on qualitative approaches to explore healthcare staff experiences. The research demonstrates evolving emphasis from concept clarification (2023) to practical implementation frameworks (2024-2025), highlighting systemic barriers in self-care support and identifying key facilitators for effective patient-staff collaboration in chronic wound management.

Johnsson serves as internationalization coordinator for the Department of Health and Caring Sciences in Växjö while teaching nursing programs across Växjö and Ljungby campuses.
