Nasrin Asgari

Nasrin Asgari is a Clinical Professor at the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Southern Denmark, and Head of Research at the Neurology Department (Slagelse) within the Department of Regional Health Research, IRS - Næstved, Slagelse, Ringsted Hospitals (NSR). Her work bridges clinical neurology with advanced immunological research, focusing on neuromyelitis optica (NMO) and multiple sclerosis (MS) pathogenesis.

Research Interests:

• Epidemiology and immunology of Aquaporin-4 antibody disorders
• Myelin Oligodendrocyte Glycoprotein (MOG) antibody-associated diseases
• Comorbidity analysis in CNS inflammatory conditions
• Experimental treatments in MS-mouse models

Scientific Contributions include groundbreaking studies on NMOSD/MOGAD comorbidities, vascular risk factors in MS therapies, and qualitative investigations into chronic illness well-being.
