Nari Lee is Professor of Intellectual Property Law at Hanken School of Economics and Deputy Director of the IPR University Center. Her research examines intellectual property frameworks with focus on unfair competition law, data governance, and ethical dimensions of patent systems.
Current investigations address fairness concepts in IP law, asymmetric convergence in Japanese/Korean unfair competition protections, and transparency-as-fairness paradigms in EU data governance. Additional work analyzes moral rights of inventors, algorithmic arts in patent law, and confidential data management in international trade contexts.
Global research engagements include affiliations with Max Planck Institute, Cambridge University, and NYU Law School. Recent publications appear in leading IP journals, analyzing specialized IP courts in China and 3D printing's impact on patent systems. Professional activities encompass WIPO consultancies on unfair competition protections.
