معرفی
Naomi Friedman is an Associate Professor at the University of Colorado Boulder, affiliated with the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience and the Institute for Behavioral Genetics (IBG). She holds a PhD from the University of Colorado Boulder (2002). Her research focuses on neural and genetic mechanisms underlying executive functions, self-regulation, and their links to psychopathology, substance use, and cognitive development. Methodological approaches include twin studies, neuroimaging, and computational modeling.
Research Interests:
- Neural and genetic basis of executive functions
- Cognitive control and self-regulation
- Psychiatric disorders and behavioral genetics
- Developmental influences on cognition and behavior
Grants and Collaborations:
- Principal investigator (PI) and co-PI on multiple NIH-funded projects, including the Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development (ABCD) study and the Colorado Twin Study.
- Focus areas: chronic pain mechanisms, cannabis use effects, and environmental influences on mental health.
Labs/Teams: Active in the Institute for Behavioral Genetics (IBG), leading studies on cognitive neuroscience and developmental genetics.
