Professor Naomi Appleton is a leading scholar in Buddhist Studies and Indian Religions at the University of Edinburgh's School of Divinity. She holds academic positions including Director of Research in the School of Divinity and co-founder of the Edinburgh Buddhist Studies initiative. Her work focuses on early Indian religious traditions, particularly Buddhist narratives and their intersections with Hinduism and Jainism.
