Nanna Mik-Meyer

Nanna Mik-Meyer is a Professor at the Department of Organization, Copenhagen Business School, specializing in power dynamics in organizations, identity formations, and gender studies in academia. She actively contributes to the Danish Power Inquiry (Magtudredningen) and leads a large qualitative study analyzing career trajectories, performance metrics, and gender dynamics in academia through interviews with 200 professors and associate professors in Denmark.

Her recent research focuses on gaming performance metrics in higher education and gendered service work. Articles explore the conversion of social capital into scientific capital, publication strategies, and grey-zone behaviors in academia. She co-authored extensively with Professor Margaretha Järvinen.

She serves as chair of the CBS Professors' Association and holds board positions at the Independent Research Fund Denmark (DFF) and the Danish Center for Social Science Research (VIVE). Her methodological expertise includes qualitative analysis, reflected in her book Qualitative Analysis: Eight Approaches for the Social Sciences (SAGE, 2020).
