Nanna Lenander is a Research Fellow at the University of Oslo's Department of Philosophy, Classics, History of Art and Ideas, affiliated with the Faculty of Humanities. Her research focuses on the history of X-ray technology and its intersections with art, particularly during the 20th century. The project X-Ray Vision: An Aesthetic History of Radiographic Images (1920–1970) explores how radiographic imagery influenced art circles and aesthetic discourse.
She holds an MA in Art History from the University of Oslo (2021) and has professional experience at the Association of Norwegian Visual Artists (NBK) and Munchmuseet. Her academic interests span visual studies, modernism, and media aesthetics, with a keen focus on the interplay between scientific imagery and artistic expression.
