Nanette Hoerr serves as an Associate Professor at the Susan S. Morrison School of Nursing within the Morrison Family College of Health at the University of St. Thomas. Bringing 41 years of nursing experience, she joined St. Thomas after retiring from St. Catherine University where she directed the Doctor of Nursing Practice program for eight years.

Dr. Hoerr's expertise spans public health nursing, nursing education, and nursing leadership. Her career includes roles as staff nurse, public health nurse, nurse consultant for gun violence and child abuse prevention, senior nurse researcher, and safety officer in a heart and vascular clinic. These experiences inform her holistic approach to nursing practice and education.
Her leadership is exemplified by her eight-year tenure as Doctor of Nursing Practice program director at St. Catherine University, where she shaped advanced nursing curricula and mentored future nursing leaders. At the University of St. Thomas, she continues to contribute to nursing education through her scholarly perspective and administrative acumen.
