Dr. Nancy Whitlock is a Professor of Spanish at Louisiana Christian University since 2005. She specializes in Hispanic culture, literature, and linguistics with emphases on Colonial and 20th-century Latin American literature, and emerging U.S. Hispanic literature from the 16th century to present. She holds the endowed Bell South Professorship in Liberal Arts.

Her research explores transnational Hispanic literary production, particularly texts written in present-day U.S. territories. She actively promotes interdisciplinary cultural studies through her role as chair of the International Activities Committee and co-sponsor of Alpha Mu Gamma honor society.

In addition to academic leadership, she collaborates with faculty on student enrichment programs and honor society initiatives. Her presentations include analyzing Gulf Coast failure texts at the 2017 Recovering U.S. Hispanic Literary Conference.
