Dr Nancy Siboe serves as a Senior Lecturer in Law and Programme Leader for the LLB(Hons) Law degree at the University of the West of England's Faculty of Business and Law (FBL). With extensive experience spanning private law firm practice, corporate work, and academia, she specializes in bridging theoretical legal frameworks with practical applications.
Her educational background includes a PhD, LL.M, MBA, PGD Law, and LL.B, reflecting a multidisciplinary approach to legal scholarship. This diverse academic foundation supports her expertise across multiple legal domains.
Nancy's research focuses on critical contemporary legal issues including the Responsibility to Protect (R2P) doctrine in practice, International Peace and Security frameworks, constitutional governance challenges, and the transformative impact of Artificial Intelligence on legal processes. Her work examines how emerging technologies intersect with civil liberties and human rights protections in the digital age.
As Programme Leader, she oversees curriculum development for the LLB program while actively teaching core subjects including Public Law, Constitutional Law in Context, Public International Law & Institutions, Equity & Trusts, and Tort Law. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes practical skill development through the Business and Law Clinic and Pro Bono initiatives.
Professional service has included previous academic appointments as Lecturer in Law at Southampton Solent University, Contractual Lecturer at UWE Bristol, Researcher in International Law at the University of Portsmouth, and Lecturer in Law at the ICP (University of Portsmouth).
