Nancy Perachio

Nancy Perachio, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB). She joined UTMB in early 2023 and has over two decades of clinical neuropsychology experience across diverse settings, including VA medical centers, inpatient rehabilitation, and nursing care facilities. Her clinical practice at UTMB focuses primarily on outpatient care, though her expertise spans inpatient consultation, liaison services, and neurorehabilitation.

• Training: Psychology Internship (Henry Ford Hospital, 1998), Neuropsychology Fellowship (University of Oklahoma Health Science Center, 2002)

Her research and clinical interests center on dementia and traumatic brain injury (TBI), with a focus on advancing diagnostic and therapeutic approaches in neuropsychology. Dr. Perachio’s return to Galveston reflects her personal commitment to being near family in this region.
