Nancy Pagh is a Senior Lecturer in the English Department at Western Washington University, affiliated with the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. She teaches creative writing, literature, and cultural studies, and has authored multiple books including Write Moves: A Creative Writing Guide & Anthology, No Sweeter Fat, Once Removed, and At Home Afloat. Her work focuses on poetry, creative nonfiction, and pedagogical strategies in humanities education.
Her awards include the Autumn House Press book prize, the Floating Bridge Press chapbook competition, and the 2018 Ronald Kleinknecht Award for Excellence in Teaching. Nancy is also an active performer and public speaker, engaging with communities through readings, lectures, and workshops.
Her research interests blend creative expression with literary analysis, emphasizing the intersection of the body, nature, and societal themes in poetry and prose. She advocates for accessible and inclusive approaches to creative writing education.
