Nancy Jo Williams is an Associate Professor at the University of Kansas School of Social Welfare and affiliate faculty at the Cofrin Logan Center for Addiction Research and Treatment. She holds a PhD and MSW from UCLA. Her research focuses on the social consequences of psychoactive substances, parenting populations in recovery, and child welfare decision-making related to substance use. She has published extensively on topics including child maltreatment risk, substance use patterns, and system-level responses to addiction.
Education: PhD and MSW from University of California, Los Angeles. Research interests include substance use behaviors among parents, the role of health/social systems in addressing community needs, and the intersection of addiction and child welfare. Her work often employs interdisciplinary frameworks and spatial analysis.
