Nancy Jesser is a Senior Lecturer at The Ohio State University, affiliated with Hagerty Hall. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina. Her research focuses on the intersections of science, culture, and power, particularly in technologies of the body, ecologies, and food systems. She has published works on science fiction by women, feminist theories of power, and the US Rape Crisis Center Movement, including an anthologized article analyzing Toni Morrison's Beloved.
Current Research: Investigating the 'wild foods' movement, foraging practices in contemporary societies, and the role of technology in food systems.
