Nancy J. Bothne is a Professor in the Clinical Psychology Doctoral (PsyD) program at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Prior to academia, she worked in international human rights advocacy, focusing on trauma caused by human rights abuses. Her teaching spans refugee trauma, community psychology, qualitative research methods, social psychology, and the history of psychology.

She served as Former Board Chair for the Torture Abolition and Survivor Support Coalition (TASSC) and is affiliated with professional organizations like Psychologists for Social Responsibility and the Society for Community Research and Action (APA Division 27).
