Nanci Hosick serves as an Adjunct Professor of Education at Thiel College while simultaneously holding the position of Director of Special Services for Hermitage School District. Her dual roles bridge academic instruction with practical K-12 administration, providing valuable real-world perspective to education students.
Dr. Hosick earned her Ed.D. in Education Leadership from the University of Pittsburgh and completed both her M.Ed. and B.A. at Westminster College. Her educational foundation spans teacher preparation, administration, and specialized services.
Her professional expertise centers on education leadership, special education systems, and teacher development. Starting as a high school English teacher, she progressed through administrative roles including Assistant Principal and Co-Principal before assuming her current district leadership position. Hosick emphasizes field experiences as critical components in teacher preparation, believing practical application is essential for understanding contemporary educational expectations.

Hosick actively contributes to educational communities beyond her primary roles. She serves as Chair of the Nominations Committee within the Westminster College Alumni Association, participates on the Towering Titan Executive Board, and volunteers in Westminster's Special Education Department during student final projects. Additionally, she provides community leadership as a board member for the Children's Center of Mercer County, demonstrating commitment to both academic and practical educational advancement.
