Nancey Wallis is a part-time professor of animation at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), where she has taught since 2020. She holds an M.F.A. in computer art from SCAD and a B.A. in fine arts from Ramapo College of New Jersey.
Her professional career spans over two decades in visual effects and animation, including roles at Sony Pictures Imageworks, Industrial Light & Magic, Weta Digital, and Method Studios. She has contributed to major films like King Kong, I, Robot, Spider-Man 3, and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.

Wallis has been recognized with multiple awards for her work, including Academy Awards, Annie Awards, and Visual Effects Society (VES) awards. Her expertise lies in compositing, lighting technical direction, and animation for live-action and animated features.
Notable projects include King Kong, Watchmen, I Am Legend, and The Day After Tomorrow. She has also worked on commercial campaigns and contributed to over 20 films listed in her portfolio.
