Dr. Namkyu Baik is a Senior Lecturer (Education) in Digital Innovation at Brunel Business School, Brunel University London. He has been part of the faculty since 2018, focusing on teaching and research in operations management, digital innovation, and aviation logistics. Prior to academia, he spent 29 years in the airline industry, including as General Manager, gaining expertise in crisis management, procurement, and satellite communications.

His research explores digital innovation in airline operations, drone logistics for air cargo, supply chain resilience, and risk management in aviation. He collaborates with British Airways, Delta, Korean Air, Menzies Aviation, and Heathrow Airport. His recent publications focus on IT-driven asset structures in aviation tourism and RFID-integrated drone warehouse systems.
