Nai-Kong Cheung, MD, PhD is the Enid A. Haupt Chair in Pediatric Oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC), Department of Pediatrics. He leads the Nai-Kong Cheung Lab focused on engineering antibodies and immune cells to treat pediatric solid and liquid tumors. His work integrates antibody-based therapies, CAR-T cell engineering, and pretargeted radioimmunotherapy strategies targeting antigens like GD2, HER2, and GPA33.
Education: MD/PhD in Immunology from Harvard Medical School. Key affiliations include the Center for Experimental Therapeutics and Gerstner Sloan Kettering Graduate School. His research addresses challenges in neuroblastoma immunotherapy, including clonal evolution, tumor vasculature targeting, and combination therapies with checkpoint inhibitors.
Notable techniques: Development of SADA bispecific antibodies, pretargeted α-particle radiotherapy, and ex vivo T-cell arming strategies. Current projects explore theranostic approaches for colorectal and ovarian cancers, and optimizing antibody responses via β-glucan adjuvants.
Labs/Teams: The lab includes researchers specializing in immunology, molecular biology, and translational oncology. Open postdoctoral positions focus on antibody engineering and clinical trial development.
