Nafe Moradkhani is an Assistant Professor of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science at KEDGE Business School’s Bordeaux campus, affiliated with the Department of Operations Management and Information Systems. He is an active member of the Center of Excellence for Supply Chain Innovation and Transportation (CESIT), driving collaborative industrial research and teaching undergraduate to postgraduate courses in information systems and operations management.
Education: He holds a PhD in Computer Science and Industrial Engineering jointly awarded by IMT Mines Albi and the Georgia Institute of Technology. His doctoral work pioneered physics-inspired decision support frameworks for socio-technical systems.
Research Focus: His work centers on AI-driven optimization of supply chains, emphasizing machine learning, urban logistics, and operational resilience. Key themes include:
- Data-driven models for sustainable logistics
- Physics-based paradigms for complex decision-making
- Real-world applications in crisis response (e.g., floods, pandemics)
Publication Trends: Recent articles demonstrate interdisciplinary integration of physics principles into decision science, with applications spanning public health (COVID-19 modeling), environmental impact (air pollution), and urban systems (traffic/flood management). Predominant methodologies include multi-criteria optimization, virtual reality simulations, and predictive analytics.
Research Infrastructure: At CESIT, he contributes to projects on supply chain innovation, leveraging partnerships with industry stakeholders to translate theoretical models into operational tools.
