Nadja Förster serves as a Research Fellow at the Albrecht Daniel Thaer Institute of Agricultural and Horticultural Sciences within the Faculty of Life Sciences at Humboldt University of Berlin. Her position as a scientific collaborator places her at the forefront of interdisciplinary research bridging agricultural science, horticulture, and urban environmental studies in one of Germany's leading research-intensive institutions.
Dr. Förster specializes in urban ecophysiology of plants, investigating physiological adaptations of flora to metropolitan stressors including pollution, heat islands, and fragmented ecosystems. Her work integrates plant physiology with urban ecology to develop climate-resilient green infrastructure, focusing on species selection for sustainable cities and physiological responses to anthropogenic environmental changes. This research directly addresses pressing challenges in urban biodiversity conservation and climate adaptation strategies.
