Nadine Osbild

Nadine Osbild is a Doctoral Candidate in Innovation Research at the Munich Center for Technology in Society (MCTS), Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. She holds a B.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering and a Master's in Science and Technology Studies (completed 2019). Since 2018, she has worked as a student assistant and later as a Research Associate (since 2020) within the Innovation, Society and Public Policy research group.

Research Focus: Investigates regional innovation cultures, creative innovation models, countercultural protest in innovation contexts, intersections of STS with art/activism, feminist and queer theory applications, and socio-ecological urban transformation. Uses interdisciplinary approaches blending social sciences and policy studies.

Teaching: Leads the course Introduction to Science & Technology Policy within the MCTS program. Focuses on policy frameworks in STEM fields.

Affiliations: Member of the European Association for the Study of Science and Technology (EASST). Actively contributes to the Innovation Research group's projects exploring public policy dimensions of technological innovation.

Professional Background: Prior to academia, worked in science communication at Deutsches Museum, bridging public engagement and technical expertise.
