Nadine Biedenkopf

Dr. Nadine Biedenkopf serves as Research Fellow leading the Replication Strategies of Filoviruses Research Group at the Institute of Virology, Philipps University of Marburg's Faculty of Medicine, within the collaborative framework of Research Campus Central Hesse.

Her research centers on viral replication mechanisms of high-pathogen agents including Ebola virus, Marburg virus, and SARS Coronavirus 2, with specific focus on host-viral protein interactions. This work directly contributes to the campus priority areas of Microorganisms and Viruses and Infections and Inflammations, leveraging Marburg's specialized BSL4 containment facilities.

Through the Research Campus Central Hesse network, Dr. Biedenkopf maintains interdisciplinary connections enabling rapid coordination across virology, immunology, and infectious disease research domains. Her lab's strategic location provides critical infrastructure for studying pathogens requiring maximum biosafety containment.
