Nadim Copty

Nadim Copty is a Professor at the Institute of Environmental Sciences, Bogazici University, Istanbul, since 2011. His research focuses on pollutant transport, nanomaterial fate, groundwater remediation, and modeling flow in porous media.

Education:

• M.E. in Civil and Environmental Engineering, UC Berkeley (1990)
• B.E. in Civil Engineering, American University of Beirut (1988)

His recent projects include InTheMed (PRIMA-funded groundwater management in the Mediterranean) and OurMED (sustainable water storage). He has led studies on pesticide transport, soil salinity, and DNAPL remediation technologies.

Article Trends: Recent work spans climate change impacts on groundwater, Nature-Based Solutions, data-sharing, and hydrological modeling using AI and system dynamics.
