Nadia Marzouki is a Research Fellow at CNRS, affiliated with the CERI (Centre de Recherches Internationales) at Sciences Po Paris. Her work bridges political sociology, sociology of religion, law, and political theory, focusing on religion-politics intersections in North America, Mediterranean, and North Africa. She has conducted multi-sited fieldwork in the U.S., Italy, Algeria, and Tunisia.
Her research includes:
- Religion and Democracy: Exploring how theo-moral activism reshapes transnational solidarity.
- Muslim Integration: Analyzing American Muslim religious freedom and citizenship struggles.
- Populism and Religion: Investigating how populist movements instrumentalize religious narratives.
- Radicalization Policies: Critiquing counter-radicalization frameworks in Europe and North Africa.
Her articles and books reveal interdisciplinary engagement with faith-based social movements, urban secularism, and post-revolution identity politics. She has held visiting positions at Harvard and Princeton and teaches on religion-populism dynamics at Sciences Po.
