She actively participates in the SNF-funded research project Inherited Futures? Objects, Time, Knowledge led by PD Dr. Lorena Rizzo and Prof. Dr. George-Paul Meiu. Her research explores affective landscapes, intergenerational memories, and desires of mothers and daughters with mobile biographies, focusing on queer becoming and belonging amidst intersecting systems of xenophobia, homophobia, and anti-Muslim hatred in late-capitalist societies.
She holds advanced degrees in Political Science, International Relations, and Cultural Mediation from Università Cattolica (Milan) and Ca' Foscari University (Venice). Nadia has extensive experience in community media advocacy, having served on the Board of the Swiss Foundation for Radio and Culture (SRKS/FSRC) since 2018 and co-managed Radio LoRa in Zurich (2005-2010). Her work intersects with feminist methodologies, intercultural communication, and political anthropology.
Her regional expertise spans Central/South-Eastern Europe and the Mediterranean/MENA region, with methodological specialization in sensory ethnography and multimodal research. She contributes to public anthropology through the Ethnographic Imagination Basel podcast initiative while maintaining academic engagement with object theory, memory studies, and citizenship dynamics.
