Dr. Nadeem Javid is an Assistant Professor at the University of Bradford, affiliated with the School of Chemistry & Biosciences within the Faculty of Life Sciences. He holds a PhD from the International Max Planck’s Research School in Chemical Biology at the University of Dortmund, Germany, and completed postdoctoral research at the University of Strathclyde. His academic roles include teaching and supervising advanced laboratory skills, physical chemistry modules, and material characterization courses. He is also involved in administrative roles such as Health and Safety Officer and Mental Health Champion.
His research focuses on advanced nanomaterials for drug delivery, bio-catalysis, and tissue engineering, alongside pharmaceutical crystallization techniques. He designs peptide-based supramolecular systems using self-assembly principles and employs scattering methods like SAXS/SANS for material characterization. Key areas include colloids, nanocomposites, and enzyme-mediated material synthesis.
His publications span 2006–2020, emphasizing supramolecular hydrogels, biocatalytic self-assembly, and nanomaterial applications in drug delivery. His work bridges chemistry, materials science, and biomedical engineering, with contributions to renewable energy optimization algorithms and laser-induced crystallization studies.
Dr. Javid actively contributes to education through module leadership and student mentoring, balancing research innovation with academic service.
