Nadav Shoked is a Professor of Law at the Pritzker School of Law, Northwestern University, where he has been a faculty member since 2012 after serving as a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Texas School of Law.
His educational credentials include an SJD from Harvard Law School and an LLB from Hebrew University.
Shoked's research critically examines property law theory, local government structures, and American legal history with emphasis on land use planning, tenant rights, and community governance. His scholarship bridges historical analysis with contemporary regulatory challenges, particularly in urban and residential contexts.
His recent publications reveal consistent thematic focus on property law's societal role, evolving interpretations of fiduciary obligations in municipal settings, and historical analysis of regulatory frameworks affecting housing and land use.
As Co-Director of Northwestern's JD/PhD Program, Shoked oversees academic placement and advising for dual-degree candidates while teaching core courses including Property, Local Government Law, and specialized seminars on legal history and regulatory policy.
