Nada Khan, Ph.D., is a Lecturer in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Seton Hall University. She holds a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Seton Hall University (2012) and an M.Sc. from Karachi University (1998). Her research focuses on developing innovative synthetic methodologies for carbohydrate chemistry, particularly transforming hexose sugars into septanose sugars as precursors for glycosidase inhibitors. Dr. Khan is committed to advancing green chemistry education and fostering student well-being through stress-free learning environments.
Her teaching spans Organic Chemistry, General Chemistry, and Green Chemistry courses, including core sustainability modules. Notable courses include CHEM 2321 (Organic Chemistry I), CHEM 3551 (Laudato Si: Sustainability and Green Chemistry), and general chemistry labs. Dr. Khan has presented at conferences such as MARM 2025 and CERM 2024, showcasing her work on integrating green chemistry practices and student-centered pedagogy.
She received the Sr. Marian Jose Smith Award for Excellence in Education (2024) for her contributions to chemical education. Her research and teaching emphasize environmentally responsible chemical synthesis and curriculum innovation.
