Professor Na-Gyong Lee is a faculty member in the Department of Integrative Bioscience and Biotechnology at Sejong University. She has been affiliated with the university since 2001, focusing on vaccine adjuvant development and immunology research.
- Ph.D. in Bioscience, University of Illinois at Chicago (1991)
- M.S. in Microbiology, Seoul National University (1985)
- B.S. in Microbiology, Seoul National University (1983)
Her research centers on vaccine adjuvant systems, including novel TLR4 agonists and liposomal formulations, targeting infectious diseases like herpes zoster and tuberculosis. She has developed multiple adjuvants (CIA05, CIA06, CIA09A) and vaccines against pathogens such as Varicella-Zoster Virus and Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
Recent publications highlight advancements in varicella-zoster vaccine delivery, Toll-like receptor agonists, and liposomal adjuvant formulations. Her work contributes to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in health and wellbeing (SDG 3) through vaccine innovation.
