Mădalina-Andreea Ungureanu

Mădalina-Andreea Ungureanu is a Senior Researcher II at the Department of Social Sciences and Humanities, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iași. Since 2009, she has contributed to the Monumenta linguae Dacoromanorum. The 1688 Bible project, focusing on Old and Early Modern Romanian language, literature, and cultural heritage. Her work spans biblical philology, historical lexicography, and digital editions of pre-modern texts.

Key research areas include the study of 17th-century Romanian dictionaries, Slavo-Romanian linguistic exchanges, and the adaptation of foreign proper names in pre-modern translations. She co-organizes the Investigations into Romanian and European Biblical Traditions symposium and co-edits Biblicum Jassyense, a journal for biblical philology and hermeneutics. Her projects, such as eRomLex and Monumenta Linguae Dacoromanorum, emphasize digital preservation and comparative analysis of early Romanian texts.
