Māra Kuļša is a Lecturer at Rīga Stradiņš University's Faculty of Health and Sports Sciences, Department of Rehabilitation, where she has served since 2009. She concurrently heads the Physiotherapy Study Programme (since 2000) and maintains a private practice in sports/rehabilitation medicine. Her academic credentials include a Medical Doctor’s Diploma from the University of Tartu and a Physiotherapist degree from the Medical Academy of Latvia/Copenhagen.
Her research targets physical activity metrics, sports injury prevention, and rehabilitation efficacy across diverse populations. Studies explore fitness assessment methodologies, musculoskeletal health interventions, and accessibility of rehabilitation services, often with interdisciplinary and pan-European collaborations.
Publications emphasize evidence-based rehabilitation, sports physiology, and physiotherapy education. Trends include rigorous analysis of aerobic capacity (2010-2011), chronic pain management (2013-2014), and innovative educational frameworks (2013).
