Mónica Junguito

Mónica Junguito is a Guest Lecturer at the Faculty of Human Sciences, Catholic University of Portugal, and a researcher at the Research Centre for Communication and Culture (CECC). She is currently pursuing a PhD in Language Didactics - Multilingualism and Global Citizenship Education at Universidade Nova de Lisboa and Universidade Aberta.

Her work bridges theoretical pedagogy with practical classroom implementation, particularly in higher education contexts.

Recent publications demonstrate a clear trajectory toward technology-integrated language education, with 2022-2023 outputs emphasizing generative AI's role in foreign language classrooms and gamification's effectiveness in cultural teaching. Her research consistently addresses both teacher perspectives and student outcomes in digital learning environments.
