معرفی
Márk Poór is an H.C. Wang Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Cornell University. He holds a Ph.D. from Eötvös Loránd University (2021). His research focuses on mathematical logic and its intersections with set theory, algebra, combinatorics, measure theory, and descriptive set theory.
Dr. Poór teaches advanced courses such as MATH 6810: Logic (Spring 2025) and undergraduate calculus (MATH 1120: Calculus II, Fall 2025). His work includes groundbreaking contributions to set-theoretic combinatorics, topological group theory, and measure-theoretic analysis. Recent publications address topics like Shelah groups, Kurepa trees, and Haar meager sets.
His research explores foundational questions in logic while applying techniques across multiple mathematical disciplines. Collaborations with experts like Saharon Shelah and András Rinot highlight his engagement with cutting-edge problems in modern set theory and topology.
