معرفی
Dr. Myriam Neumann is a Researcher in the Pharmaceutics department within the Faculty of Science at Utrecht University. Her work focuses on the development of functional biomaterials for medical applications.
Dr. Neumann's research centers on developing functional biomaterials, particularly hydrogels made from natural and synthetic polymers that can mimic and regenerate living tissues. She employs an interdisciplinary approach combining material and polymer chemistry, cellular biology, and biotechnology. Her work has significant implications for tissue engineering, drug delivery systems, and regenerative medicine applications.
As an active member of the academic community, Dr. Neumann serves as a board member of the Post-Doc Network Utrecht since October 2022, which aims to connect and unite Post-docs while supporting their career development and acting as a liaison to Utrecht University and UMC policy makers.
Dr. Neumann contributes to academic education through teaching several courses including:
- Innovation in Pharmaceutics
- Introduction to biomaterials
- Research methods
- The drug and the cell
- 3D printing for healthcare, health and society
Her collaborative research has resulted in multiple publications focusing on hydrogels, biomaterials, and cell therapy applications, demonstrating her expertise in developing advanced materials for medical use.
