Myriam N. Bechtoldt

Myriam N. Bechtoldt is a Professor of Leadership at EBS Business School. She holds a PhD in Work and Organizational Psychology and a diploma in Psychology. Previously, she served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Amsterdam and a Full Professor of Organizational Behavior at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.

Her research focuses on Gender & Leadership, Emotional Intelligence, Stress and Occupational Health, and Psychological Antecedents for Engagement on Climate Change. She has published extensively in journals like Journal of Applied Psychology and Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin, and currently serves on editorial boards of The Leadership Quarterly and Frontiers in Organizational Psychology.

Recent work highlights include studies on climate anxiety, eco-anxiety measurement, and the role of gossip in social dynamics. She has also contributed to public climate education programs and explored mindfulness in coping with crises like the pandemic.
