Myriam AIT-AOUDIA is a Professor in the Department of Political Science at the Faculty of Law and Political Science, University of Picardie Jules Verne (UPJV), where she has held a permanent academic position and currently serves as Director of the Department since 2020. She is actively involved in research, teaching, and academic governance, including membership in the Management Council of the UFR of Law and Political Science. Previously, she held academic and coordination roles at IEP Bordeaux, demonstrating sustained engagement in French political science academia.
Her research focuses on democratic and authoritarian regimes, with a regional specialization in North Africa, particularly Algeria. Key themes include militant democracy, partisan pluralism, Islamist parties, political crises, and democratic transitions.
