Mustafa YAŞAR is an Associate Professor at Çukurova University, Faculty of Education, Department of Preschool Education. He has been a faculty member at Çukurova University since 2006, receiving the title of Associate Professor in 2020. His academic career includes positions as Assistant Professor (2012-2020) and Lecturer (2006-2012). Currently, he serves as Assistant Director of the Institute at Çukurova University. Dr. YAŞAR has made significant contributions to early childhood education research and teaching, with over 100 publications indexed in Web of Science.

Dr. YAŞAR's research interests focus on educational psychology, family studies, interpersonal communication, classroom management, and cultural studies in education, with particular emphasis on qualitative research approaches. His work explores complex dynamics in preschool education settings, examining power relations, peer culture, gender dynamics, and the transition from home to school environments. He has conducted extensive research on classroom management approaches informed by General Systems Theory and Structural Family Therapy, bringing interdisciplinary perspectives to early childhood education. His research often employs ethnographic methods to investigate educational phenomena from multiple stakeholder perspectives.
His recent publications demonstrate a strong focus on children's social dynamics, ethical considerations in teaching, and family-school relationships. YAŞAR's work frequently employs ethnographic and qualitative methodologies to investigate preschool classroom cultures, children's peer relationships, and teachers' experiences. His research bridges theory and practice, addressing practical challenges in early childhood education while contributing to broader theoretical understandings of child development and educational processes. Dr. YAŞAR has served on numerous journal committees including for the Journal of Childhood, Education & Society and Çukurova Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü Dergisi. He has conducted peer reviews for multiple SSCI-indexed journals and has been active in evaluating research projects for TUBITAK.
Dr. YAŞAR has supervised 10 graduate students across doctorate and postgraduate programs. His funded research projects address critical issues in early childhood education, including environmental sustainability in preschool settings, professional development for preschool teachers, and the adaptation of children from home to preschool environments. He has led multiple projects supported by higher education institutions and international funding programs, demonstrating his capacity to secure research funding and lead collaborative research teams.
