Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kucukislamoglu is a full professor at the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, Sakarya University, Turkey. He has actively contributed to organic chemistry research, particularly in enzyme inhibition studies and natural compound synthesis, since the early 2000s.
Research Interests:
- Synthesis of natural compounds (flavonoids, coumarins, anthocyanins)
- Structure-activity relationships (SAR) in enzyme inhibitors
- Carbonic anhydrase and tyrosinase inhibition mechanisms
- Solvent-free and green catalytic methods
- Phthalocyanine and Schiff base derivatives
- Adsorption of pollutants using bio-based materials
Recent Publications focus on medicinally relevant heterocycles, anticancer agents, and Alzheimer's disease multitarget compounds. He has also supervised over 20 thesis projects, including doctoral and master's works on flavonoid synthesis, anthocyanin derivatives, and industrial catalyst applications.
